I have devised a snacking diary which has been distributed online in to weight loss groups on social media platforms and in weight loss groups/centres.
The diary will gain information on the following:
- What snacks are consumed
- When snacks are consumed
- Where snacks are consumed
- If participants were hungry
- How participants feel afterwards
- Age and gender of participants
Using this information I can ensure that an app is the most suitable technology and software to design for, I will look for the following:
- Times snacks are consumed
- What participants are doing at the time
If participants are eating unhealthy snacks when they are not hungry and they feel bad afterwards then I think this behaviour can be changed using an app that fits well in to their lifestyle. People sometimes need that little ‘nudge’ into making a different decision.
